Dave Asprey writes about this topic in his book Game Changers. He says that creating a story in your mind about why someone said or did something is not helpful. Even if the story is true, we could create another story. If someone cuts you off in traffic, we could pretend that the person had to rush to the hospital to care for a loved one (instead of just thinking that the person is a jerk). It comes down to what is most helpful to us. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! 🙂
